Working with a Fairy tale in a Kindergarten

The Bachelor thesis focuses on the use of fairy tales as a tool in the development of kindergarten children. The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate and verify in practice that fairy tales have a potential to educate children in all educational areas listed in the Framework Educational Programme for Preschool Education. The theoretical part of the work defines the term fairy tale, folk tale and its genre variants, looks at the child's world and its connection to fairy tales, investigates the possibilities of solving problems with the help of fairy tales, looks into the story of "Little Red Riding Hood" in terms of psychology, and focuses on storytelling and reading fairy tales in kindergartens. It also analyses preschool children and describes their motor, cognitive, emotional, and social development. The practical part introduces the proposed project "Little Red Riding Hood" which describes activities related to the fairy tale. The project is implemented in a kindergarten environment and aims to help develop key competencies established in the Framework Educational Programme for Preschool Education. The evaluation draws attention to possible issues of the project.
Theme of Red Riding Hood created by students of art therapy

The thesis deals with theme of Red Riding Hood in production of students or absolvents of Art-therapy atelier PF JČU. The thesis is theoretically based on the theme of the story, symbol and analytical possibilities of interpretation of the story. The author works by using qualitative research methods. For purposes of this work the tale has been split into phases according to the story. The work also describes which characters and motives appear in collected artefacts. The research also offers possibilities how to interpretatively work with the story and how to use it in the practice. The work is also enriched with a case work of an concrete author.
Influence of literary-dramatic fairy tale plays and exercises on the development of pre-school children personalities

The aim of the thesis is to develop and enrich the children's side of personality through an entertaining form of literary drama and fairy tale exercises. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first theoretical part deals with the explanation of the basic terms of drama education, as well as the concepts of play and exercise. It also characterizes the pre-school age in terms of developmental psychology. It describes physical and motorical development, cognitive processes and emotional and social development. Then it conceives the theme of fairy tales. It deals with the importance of fairy tales for the development of child's personality and psychological analysis of selected fairy tales. The second practical part presents the proposed project for preschool children called "Know the realm of fairy tales". In the end, the practical experience with the project in the selected kindergarten is evaluated. At the end of the thesis is evaluated, whether the goal of the thesis is fulfilled.
Topic of Little red riding hood processed by children of school age

The bachelor thesis deals with the artistic rendering of the fairy tale About Little Red Riding Hood. The work is divided into two parts. The introduction to the theoretical part of the work presents art therapy as a science that works in a specific way with artistic expression, especially in relation to knowledge of fine arts and developmental psychology. For this purpose, fairy-tale themes are also used. A separate chapter is devoted to the fairy tale About Little Red Riding Hood, as well as the characteristics of the period of adolescence. The content of the practical part is mixed research. The result of the quantitative survey is the division of artifacts into categories according to the predominant motive. The result of the qualitative part of the work are case studies, which include the application of interpretive procedures in the context of interviews conducted with the authors of artifacts and their art teacher.

Supervisor's e-mail address: Milos.Kucera@seznam.cz Abstract: This baccalaureate thesis essay titled "Little Red Riding Hood - Who Is the Wolf?" discusses the worldwide - known fairytale about the Little Red Riding Hood. The essay consists of three parts. In the opening segment, the author elaborates on the historical background of the evolution of the fairytale. The first mentions are of the original oral versions known throughout the Europe, but also other parts of the world (Asia, Africa). For the western culture, however, the most important ones are the literally recorded tales by Charles Perrault and Brothers Grimm. The second part focuses on the importance and interpretation of the character of the Wolf in the story. The main antagonist can be viewed either as a masculine figure (seducing type, dark side of a father figure, aggressive masculinity) or a persona with more feminine traits (mother, grandmother, the Great Mother). Both approaches have a significant number of representatives, a brief overview of which is the author's main goal. The thesis has it´s theoretical base in the theme of the story, symbol, analytical possibilities of interpretation of the story. The thesis also specifies method of rožnov art-therapy. The author works by using mixed research. For purposes of this work the fairy has been split into phases according to the story. The work describes frequency how often authors depicts the story in concrete story phase. There´s also described which figures and how often they appears in these artefacts. The research also offers possibilities how to interpretatively work with the story.
Fairy tale motifs in advertisements

Bachelor thesis is focused on appearance of fairy tale motifs in advertisements. In the first part it introduces terms such as fairy tale, archetype, semiotics and their connection to advertising. The aim of the thesis is to examine the connection between fairy tale and advertisements, to describe why the fairy tale motifs are used and to identify the benefits for the advertisers. The second part is based on semiotics analysis of chosen printed advertisements with the motif of Little Red Riding Hood. It examines different usage of the same fairy tale motif in various types of advertisement and its interpretations.
